Melissa Shoes Presents New Collaboration with Away To Mars

Behold, we're happy to announce another very special collaboration for our favorite Brazilian footwear brand, Melissa Shoes. This collaboration is with Away To Mars, the platform that champion co-creation. What makes this collaboration extra special is that consumers, Away to Mars users, and Melissa Shoes fans were part of the creative process every step of the way. This collaborative project, titled Citizens of Everywhere began in 2017 and was divided in three stages. All the registered members of the Away To Mars platform could access the partnership site, give their feedback, suggest changes and vote for their favorite ones. This resulted in the three footwear styles, designed by the public that walked the Lisbon Fashion Week Runway, and were available for purchase minutes after they were shown.

The Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars collection will be first available in a limited run immediately after the fashion show at Galeria Melissa Sao Paulo, New York, London, Melissa stores in Portugal, Melissa e- shop, and Away To Mars e-shop. The three styles in the Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars collaboration include Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Citizen Clog, Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Citizen Beach Slide, and the Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Cosmic Sandal.


The Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Citizen Clog, a modern and minimalist version of the clog. The Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Citizen Beach Slide is a new take on the brand's best seller, that gets a platform with glitter finishing in three color options. Last but not least is another classic, the Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars Cosmic Sandal, recreated by the platform members in two metallic tones and a light brown see-trough version. All of them get a glitter finishing on the side detail and a closing strap at the back, making them more anatomic.


Citizens of Everywhere began in 2017 and was divided in three stages, inviting the public to join the creative process in every step. The first stage collected ideas and suggestions from users from more than 50 countries, resulting in ten different footwear styles. During the second stage, all the registered members of Away To Mars platform was able to access the partnership site, give their feedback, suggest changes and vote for their favorite styles. The Melissa Shoes X Away To Mars collection were first made available in a limited run immediately after the Lisbon fashion shows at Galeria Melissa São Paulo, New York, and London, Melissa stores in Portugal, www.shopmelissa.com, and www.awaytomars.com. The three limited edition styles range in price from $115.00 - $140.00.
