Shoe of the Day | Sanuk x Susan Wickstrand Aloha Series Yoga Sling

We had the unique pleasure of attending an amazing event yesterday with Sanuk Footwear and renowned Queen of Collage, Susan Wickstrand, whose work can be seen on various TV shows such as Modern Family, Parenthood, and MTV's The Real World, to celebrate their shoe collaboration. The Sanuk x Susan Wickstrand Aloha Series boasts three limited edition footwear designs for women, two of which we're highlighting today.

We adore the Sanuk x Susan Wickstrand Aloha Series Yoga Sling and we know you will too. The Yoga Sling is Sanuk’s top-selling style and thanks to this wonderful collaboration, is available in the patterns shown above, both of which were created by Susan Wickstrand. For the Aloha Series collection, Susan created the two custom patterns for Sanuk inspired by her collage work: an orchid bloom print and a colorful, palm tree design emblazoned with the moniker of Susan and Sanuk’s shared home, California. The Yoga Sling boasts a lightweight, two-way stretch knit upper with sling comfort construction, and a footbed made from real yoga mat material with a sealed edge, so you know it's amazingly comfortable.


We had the opportunity to feel like Susan Wickstrand (pictured above) and create a collage of our own (with her expert tutelage of course). She showed us her technique of combining vintage photography with colorful acrylics, oils and wax on wood panels. You can see the result of our attempt below
