Pair an Italian-born footwear company with an American high fashion department store and sparks can comfortably fly.  Fila has teamed up with Barneys New York on the redesign of the brand's Original Tennis Leather Sneaker as part of the exclusive in-house Barney's Sole Series.  Fluid seaming nicely pairs tonal suede and leather panels together and anchors them into a branded chunky lug sole.  This is a pretty solid shoe that you can pair with all your cool Spring things like cropped trousers, trackies and denim.  Available now in both color ways at Barneys.com.

He's back at it again with his on-going collaboration with Adidas.  The downtown design wunderkind, Alexander Wang, offers a brightened update to his Adidas Originals collections with this BBall Soccer Suede Sneaker.  The upper is a vibrant orange suede and the sole is black leather and white boost.  The tread detailing and the easy and laid back eye-catching style make this a great shoe to brighten up the Winter wardrobe.  Available now at Barneys.com.

I covered a different color way of this sneaker style in the Summer but this new color way release deserves a definite mention.  Comfortable and edgy are these Kamanda 01 Sneakers from Adidas X Neighborhood X Cali Thornhill DeWitt.  The uniquely treaded sole is more over-treaded than oversized so the shoe remains close fitting while the asymmetric lacing gives enough top vamp space to showcase the Neighborhood branding.  This is a nice natural tone to counter all the black, dark and shocking vibrant tech colors on a sneaker that gives tech an organic ergonomic feel.  Available now at Barneys.com.

The Avant handles a classic.  Rick Owens, the rogue American designer whose avant garde designs have a serious tenured cult following, has teamed up with the cozy earthy footwear camp at Birkenstock to rework two of their classic styles, the Boston and the Arizona.  The uppers are a textural exquisite suede and features a contoured logo-stamped footbed, extended adjustable strap, matte grey logo-debossed hardware and an EVA sole.  It's a bit of laid-back easiness comfortably from the hands of a brilliant designer that doesn't reinvent the wheel but just makes it more cool to drive.  Both suede versions are available now and also in the additional black Arizona styles at Barneys.com.

What may seem like an unlikely match is not really.  Footwear impresario Clarks has teamed with the WuWear, the brand that reps for the iconic rap collective Wu-Tang Clan on a pair of limited edition Wallabees.  The collabo becomes likely in that Wallabees have been a hip-hop footwear staple amongst hip-hop purists for the clean crisp suede upper, classic crepe sole and not to mention it's mentioning by Wu-Tang member Raekwon The Chef.  This limited edition duo features gold foil printing on the fob and an embossed Wu-Wear logo at the heel.  This is an exclusive drop for The Drop LA @ Barneys and is available now here.
