Adidas X Kasina Superstar Boost
A bit of gum sole can work wonders. For the store's 20th anniversary, Seoul-based Kasina has teamed up with Adidas to celebrate with this remix of one the brand's core silhouettes. Re-patterned stripe stitching, contrast topstitching on the sole, extended shell-toe detailing and minimal noteworthy embroidery on the side heel and make this collaborative sneaker a nice one that works year-round. Pair this with summer khakis and camel winter flannel alike. Available now at
Bodega.
Vans Vault X Horween Pack
The Horween Leather Company produces some of the most quality leathers in America. Now pair them with the American staple that is Vans and you have a winning combination. The new Vans Vault X Horween pack takes two of Vans' most popular skate silhouettes, the Old Skool Lite LX and Sk8-Hi Reissue Lite LX, and does them up in fun primary colors. That, together with the durability of Horween's leather, make the pack an instant classic that, thanks to the beautiful aging of the leather, will only look better over time. The pack is available now at
Bodega.
Aprix Suede Low APR 002 Sneaker
A clean shoe is a clean shoe. Add to that that the idea of said shoe comes from Brendon Babenzian, the head of cult brand NYC shop and brand NOAH and given his former track record of former Creative Director at Supreme, and you kind of see why clean works. Sometimes bells and whistles are called for and sometimes it's best to keep it simple. As is the case with this Suede Low Sneaker from Aprix. The crisp suede uppers are in approachable handsome colors for the season that men can integrate into their already existing wardrobes and besides the upper heel branding, the detailing is kept simple and understated. The cleanliness of the color draws you in with a silhouette that is very easy to take from take to evening for the pop of sundown color. Available now in all color ways at
Bodega and with the added color way of navy at
Ssense.com.
Filling Pieces Low-Top Degrade Sneaker
Fading in a little bit of color is sometimes all you need. For Spring/Summer, my favorite sneaker brand has done just that with their Low-Top Degrade Sneaker. The upper boasts a design feature where the red gradually fades away to reveal the dominant grey color of the sneaker. The leather is pretty on-point from Filling Pieces and they give all-day comfort. This Low-Top Degrade is both minimal and modern with enough design for that cool-factor. Available now at
Bodega Boston.
White Mountaineering Embroidered Wallaby Boots
There can be something very eclectic about embroidery. It takes the appropriately safe motif to not suggest grandma's curtains or French Reneaissance gone mad. What's nice is when a designer gets the embroidery to a balanced point where it transforms the article in who's point of inspiration is something not so easily recognized. White Mountaineering has achieved that with their Embroidered Wallaby Boot for Spring. The cool factor of the simple brown embroidery together with harmonious values of the colors of the skins make this shoe a textural winner with funky dress up dress down functionality. Available now at Bodega in Boston and on their site

Mark McNairy New Amsterdam X Bodega Boston Brogues and Saddle shoe
A bit of pop and a little punch can do the 'sole' a world of good. Ask Mark McNairy! He has a patented flair for giving the classic menswear brogue a bit of sartorial humor that is perfectly balanced with exquisite craftsmanship. Now couple his sense of style with the on-the-pulse of hype and street wear machine Bodega. This boutique out of Boston has come up with some great collaborations in the past with some of the heaviest footwear hitters like Nike and New Balance. Now they've stepped it up by collaborating on a collection of two brogues and a saddle shoe with Mr. McNairy. The Wing Saddle in Digi Desert Camo and the Long Wing Brogues in Woodland Camo and Leopard offer a cool pairing of Bodega's forward vibe while offering the cheeky suaveness from McNairy. It's not hard to guess but easy to see how these are limited edition (of course). They're available now at
Bodega's site.
