We hope you're ready to hear about the newest name in the footwear industry, because we have a cool collection to introduce you to. We are happy to introduce
Gray Matters Footwear, which makes its debut this month. The collection of Italian footwear boasts versatile and sophisticated silhouettes, standout sculptural styles, luxe materials, and artisan details sure to excite any shoe lover.
Inspired by the artistic heritage of her native country Italy and her hectic lifestyle of her home, New York City, designer Silvia Avanzi perfectly fuses the best of both fashion capitals. Her collection boasts new pump silhouettes, luxe fabrications, and standout heels....an element that really stood out to us.
The heels of Gray Matters footwear boast geometric shapes, such as cylinders on styles like the Micol Pumps and Monika Boots; cubes, as seen on the Mildred styles; and prisms on the Monika V, and Monika Zip Boots. These statement heels give a coolness factor to Gray Matter's modern and chic silhouettes. We're especially excited about the non-traditional pumps and the edgy Flatform boots. Check out more styles from Gray matter's debut collection below:

If you thought summer was letting go, you obviously haven't been outside lately. Summer is still in full effect, as evident by the 95 degree day we had yesterday and the fact that we're still in the 90's today. This of course is the perfect time to highlight some appropriate footwear for this late summer heat wave. Earlier this year,
Teva welcomed Flatforms to their range of sport sandals, one of which we had so much DIY fun with. You'll be happy to hear Teva has expanded their Flatform range with some eye-catching dark floral prints, a hot trend for the Fall 2015 season. Feast your eyes on the
Teva Floral Flatform Sandals.
Available in three moody florals:
Persimmon Floral, Black, and Purple Wine Floral, the women's Flatform Sandal is an enhanced version of Teva's 2 1/4" Flatform Sandal, it boasts a satin upper, adjustable ankle strap, Durabrasion Rubber™ platform, and a 2 1/4" EVA platform. Are you not one for elevated flats?
Teva's Original Universal Floral Sandal also comes in the above mentioned floral prints
. The sweet blooms add a touch of femininity, and romance to this rugged sport sandal.
The styles have been available for a while, but they won't be there forever, so we advise that you snap up your favorite dark floral now so your toes can enjoy their freedom as we usher in the fall season. The Floral Flatform Sandals retails for $70.00, and the Original Universal Floral sandal retails for $60.00; both are available now on
www.teva.com.
I had the great pleasure of attending the wonderful Spring/Summer preview event for
TEVA Footwear, and to welcome their newest launch, Flatforms, (available in Flatform Sandal, and Flatform Universal). Known for their Water Shoes, Flip Flops, Sandals, and Hiking Shoes for men and women, TEVA's footwear boasts a proprietary Comfort Technology exclusive to the brand.
To help celebrate the Spring/Summer 2015 Collection, attendees had the opportunity to select one of the new Flatform styles and DIY it their way. TEVA provided lots of markers, embroidery thread, paint, stones, and other craft supplies for attendees to select from for their DIY.
I decided to go with the white and orange Women's Flatform Sandal (shown below in my color of choice, and french blue) for my DIY Flatforms. This style is also available in black, formula one (red, black, and white), bright white, and freesia (yellow, black, and white).
I decided to use the bold orange stripe as my color inspiration, while I thought about a design plan. While those around me flocked to the colorful stones and studs to decorate their TEVA Flatforms, I decided to go a bit abstract and use only paint for my watercolor art inspiration.
I must say, although I let the paint and colors control my thought process, I am very happy with the final result. I'm so looking forward to when the weather finally breaks and we all get a chance to let our toes out. What do you guys think of my DIY? How would you decorate your TEVA Sandals?
The TEVA Flatforms, and other spring/summer 2015 styles will be available starting March 15th. We recommend having a little fun of your own, by adding your own personal stamp on your TEVA sandals.
Today we wanted to highlight something a bit different. We're all for showing the adventurous side of footwear and we know that doesn't always mean a sick heel....sometimes, we you see above, it comes in a flat footwear style in a standout pattern. Seen here breaking all the fashion rules is the
ASOS Deadline Flatform Sneaker. This edgy footwear silhouette features a lightweight, textile upper in an intensely bright leopard print, lace-up closure, shaped and padded cuffs (which really helps against the usual chafing of the ankles), a chunky, 2" flatform sole completely covered in the bright leopard print for a uniform look and a textured tread for protection against slipping. We know this style wont appeal to everyone but we differently see the fashion aspect. They're cute, edgy, funky, looks greatvwith jeans jeans or shorts, and cost only $41.92 on
ASOS.com.
