I've gone through my Vans stage.  Now admittedly while I stopped thankfully Vans didn't.  When I look through my close of Vans I spy a lot of collabos and almost no plain styles.  In the past their collabos have been a art driven and colorful, so with my more mature sensibilities now I think I may revisit Vans with this new collabo.  They've collaborated with Paul Rodriguez and his sneaker store Primitive and on April 14 will release a half cab style that mocks the ubiquitous beanie donned by many a skater and urban dweller alike.  The styling is cleaner and a touch more sophisticated with a brass logo plaque and tonal laces.  This and a few more clean collabos they have this year could possibly be my Vans second wave.  Available April 14th at PrimitiveShoes.com.
