Chroma NYC Brazilian Fashion Pop-up

We love getting local access to international designers (some of those international shipping fees can be brutal) and when we heard we would have to chance to see, touch and play with fashion and accessories from Brazilian fashion brands, we had to check it out. We recently highlighted the adorably chic Blue Bird Monkey Loafers as a Shoe of the Day, a very sophisticated Brazilian-based footwear brand. You may also remember we mentioned you can purchase the adorable loafers at the Chroma NYC Pop-up shop. We're happy to say the NYC-based pop-up is now officially open and we stopped by for a visit.

From now until May 1st, 2016, Chroma NYC will be the new retail destination for emerging Brazilian fashion brands. The pop-up and online concept shop was founded by native Brazilian Fernanda Ferraz as a way to introduce NYC fashionistas to Brazilian fashion and style.

Featured designers in the pop-up shop include Blue Bird, a Brazilian shoe brand featuring colorful and engaging embroidered loafers and slippers; Kika Simonsen, a Brazilian artist who has transported lively patterns and colors in her artwork from canvas to printed fabric; and Maria Dolores, a Brazilian artist creating unique and playful jewelry.

Chroma NYC is located at 120 Thompson Street off Prince Street. It is open from 10 am to 7 pm daily until May 1st.
