Vans X Michelin Street Tread Pack

Is this classic meets staple or staple meets classic?  However you regard them, the iconic American skate culture brand Vans has teamed up with Michelin the automotive tire powerhouse on a new pack and a new initiative.  This collaboration promotes the Michelin 'Street Tread Contest' that aims to inform teen drivers about the importance of tire safety.

In their effort to get teen drivers to drive on safe tires, the 'Street Tread Contest' implores teens to test their tires for proper inflation and treadwear as it's estimated that 40% of teens drive with improper tire pressure.  About 300,000 of the estimated 2.2 million automobile accidents involve teens driving on improperly functioning tires.  Michelin launched their Beyond The Driving Test campaign to make teens and parents more aware of maintaining tire safety.  To sweeten the deal, in enters Vans to get your footwear game involved as they've teamed up with Michelin in offering a Sk8-Hi and an Old-Skool.  The pack features the iconic 'Michelin Man' printed in royal and white check across the vamp with yellow and royal blue accents and an appliquéd Michelin Man at the back heels.
