Wolverine and Halo Launch Spartan-Inspired Boot Collection
Wolverine and 343 Industries, the developer of the Halo franchise, have teamed up for the second year in a row to launch a new limited-edition boot collection inspired by the Spartans of Halo Infinite. The four new colorways, Wild Kovan, Foxwood Seal, Scorpion Horvath, and Midnight Frost, became available for purchase on March 16th. Last year, the first launch of the Wolverine x Halo Master Chief boot sold out in under a minute, highlighting the popularity of the collaboration.
The boots come at an exciting time for the Halo franchise with the
recent launch of Halo Infinite's Season 3: Echoes Within that took place
on March 7th. Drawing inspiration from Halo Infinite's multiplayer
experience, the one-of-a-kind boots take cues from the Spartan's armor
and the customization options in the Halo universe.
The design of the boots is inspired by the customization options and
Spartan armor found in the Halo universe, with features such as a
reflective patch on the tongue resembling Spartan helmet visors, a
United Nations Space Command insignia found throughout the boot, and
metallic tipped color pop laces with a secondary tonal lace.
Additionally, the boots incorporate Wolverine's signature comfort,
strength, and support, including an UltraSpring high rebound ETPU
midsole and rubber lug outsoles for excellent traction.
Wolverine's VP of Global Marketing, Scott Schoessel, said that the partnership with Halo is representative of the company's commitment to reaching consumers through various touchpoints, including gaming. John Friend, Head of Halo and Xbox Consumer Products, said that the boots were designed to support fans on their day-to-day missions.
